Meet some of the team

Angelo Marano
Angelo is a third generation Marano involved in running the business.
Angelo, who has a Bachelor of Business (majoring in Business Management), is an experienced banker and was a business manager for eight years in the Mossman region.
He has been involved in the Marano’s Fuel business for more than 20 years, and has a multi-combination (class MC) license.

Luch Coiutti
Luch joined Marano’s Fuel in 2010 having previously owned his own transport company.
Luch, who has a multi-combination (class MC) license, started his company as an owner driver, and grew it to 10 trucks, including road trains, running 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Richie Atkin
Richie started at Marano's Fuel as a driver in 2010. After 6 years of driving, Richie transitioned to logistics scheduler. In 2019 he stepped up to Operations Manager Logistics and Fleet.
Richie has a multi-combination (class MC) License, Dangerous Goods License, Safe Load Program (SLP) qualifications, and a range of heavy equipment tickets.
He is also a qualified bunkerman, which means he can transfer fuel from shore to a ship including navy vessels, and is Cert IV qualified to perform driver training and assessments.
Richie joined Marano's from Mount Carbine Quarries, where he was Senior Site Executive.

Jemma McEwan
Jemma joined Marano’s Fuel in July 2017 from Origin Energy, where she was the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Coordinator for the LPG business, before moving into an Operations Coordinator role.
Jemma, who has an Advanced Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, was previously an HSE Coordinator for an earthmoving business, which was contracted to Origin Energy in the LNG fields near Roma.
Since joining Marano’s, Jemma has improved the company’s safety standards and quality control measures, with the annual audit program now seeing continual improvement in the Workplace Health and Safety space for Marano’s Fuel.
Jemma brings a wealth of industry knowledge and experience to Marano’s, and her appointment is an indication of the high level of importance that the company places on a safe work environment.
